Company history
Vealstruct began life in 1987 as a small family-owned and operated business by husband and wife Peter and Maree Veale.
While it has grown over the years, and diversified its product and service offering, it still maintains a strong family structure with sons Mathew and Robert both now current Directors of Vealstruct.
Peter formed the company after 15 years working as a Quantity Surveyor. It was a craft that taught him much about attention to detail, a spirit that is entrenched in Vealstruct’s culture to this day.
Vealstruct was created at a time of rapid development in southeast Queensland and while many companies have come and gone over the years, Vealstruct has grown from strength to strength.
One of its very early projects was the Sheraton Resort Development at Southport, a landmark luxury hotel and resort, which featured the latest architectural design trends at that time.
Some of Vealstruct’s early projects include the Inlet Apartments on the Gold Coast, several Expo ‘88 buildings, the Customs House refurbishment and Terrica Place (the old ATO building) in Creek Street Brisbane.
It has continued to work on high profile building projects throughout Brisbane and the southeast, and is currently involved in the delivery of the multi billion dollar Queens Wharf Intergrated Resort development.
While Vealstruct is very proud of its many building projects, its greatest and most influential achievement has been its ability to build a highly skilled team of professionals. Many of which have worked for the company for more than 20 years.
